Phoebe Rusch is a queer writer from the Midwest. They have studied creative writing at Princeton University and the University of Michigan, and currently teach high school in Chicago. Their essay collection ‘Intrusive Thoughts: A Memoir of OCD, Gender and Sexuality' is forthcoming from Northwestern University Press in spring 2027. Phoebe’s writing has received support from the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs Individual Artists Award grant program as well as the Luminarts Foundation fellowship. They are at work on a horror novel.
